Daily itinerary
Day 1
You arrive in Warsaw. We will welcome you at
the airport and check you in at a charming hotel. We will visit
the capital, Warsaw, where, after dinner, for those who feel up
to, we will take you on a stroll in the Old Town.
Day 2
After a substantial Polish breakfast we will
set off to explore Warsaw in daylight. We will show you the Royal
Castle, the Old Town and the Belvedere Palace, this last being
the official residence of Polish heads of state. You may also want
to see the green oasis of the capital, the royal gardens "Lazienki"
and the palace on the water. In the evening we will have a closer
look
at nature. This night we will stay in an off the beaten path, charming
guest house.
Day 3
This day you will marvel at beautiful views
of nature and have an encounter with the rich fauna and flora of
Eastern Europe. We will take you to the Biebrzanski National Park.
This is a vast area of swamps and peatbogs. 271 species of birds,
700 species of butterflies and over 500 species of beetles inhabit
this area. You will have an unbelievable time of rafting along
the Biebrza River, which flows through the park. In comfort, you
can watch beauty spots from the river's perspective.
Day 4
We will leave the park in search of Polish bison.
We will find them lounging round the Bialowieza Forest that straddles
the border with Belarus. Bialowieza's fame rests on the forest
that covers 97% of the area.
Day 5
After a hearty regional breakfast we will set
off on our journey to Lublin. We will travel through picturesque
regions of Eastern Europe. Remarkably, Lublin is called "Polish
Jerusalem" by historians, since the city contributed a lot
to the development of Judaic sciences. For centuries it was home
to a vibrant Jewish community. We will show you valuable treasures,
and in the evening we will reach Zamosc. You will find out more
about this marvelous city on day 6.
Day 6
Zamosc was built in 1580. It was designed by
Italian architect, Bernardo Mornado. This charming city boasts
120 monuments and in 1992 it was listed among UNESCO's World
Cultural Heritage historical sites. In the evening we will set
off to magical Cracov, the former residence of Polish kings, the
city of numerous historic places of interest, and due to its unique
atmosphere the magnet for artists. We will stay nearby for the
next two days.
Day 7
From dawn to dusk we will be discovering the
most precious treasures of Cracov: the Barbakan, the Sukiennice,
St Mary's Church. Then we will invite you to dinner within
the city's medieval walls.
Day 8
As usual, we will start the day with a delicious
breakfast. Then we will take you 130ft / 40 m underground in search
of another adventure. Down there is the world's oldest operating
enterprise, the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Its tunnels stretch along
approximately 220mi / 350 km and hide lots of spectacular sights:
sculptures and chandeliers carved in salt, green lakes and much
more. Then we will surface to spend the evening among white, fabulously
shaped rocks in the Jura Krakowsko-Czestochowska, the treasure
of the Ojcow National Park.
Day 9
In the morning you will marvel at remarkable
geological formations shaped by water: Hercules' Club and
the famous Lokietka Cave. Also, we will visit the beautiful castle
on Pieskowa Skala. After lunch, we will leave for Zakopane, the
winter capital of Poland.
Day 10
This day you had better have a substantial breakfast,
since we will take you to the highest Polish mountains: the Tatras.
You will be enchanted by their fabulous views. Also, we will spring
a Trek-Surprise on you. Overnight, we will stay by our southern
neighbors, in Poprad, Slovakia.
Day 11
Slovakia is a mountainous, beautiful country
that borders with Poland. You will have the opportunity to compare
these two countries. We are sure that you will be charmed by Slovakia's
sights and a wide variety of geological formations. In the evening
it is time to set off for Prague, our final destination.
Day 12
On the way to the Czech capital, Prague, we
will stop over for dinner at the picturesque city of Brno. In the
evening we will be strolling along the historic streets of Prague,
a city that overshadows other European capitals with its beauty
and charm.
Day 13
We will spend this last but one day reveling
in the monuments of Prague. Each street has something unusual in
store. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner.
Day 14
Last snapshots, and hugs and kisses at the airport.
We wish you a safe journey home.
